First German WPC Conference, Cologne, Germany |

Wood and plastics processors, suppliers
and users showed a great interest in the First German WPC Conference
held by the nova-Institute (Hürth) at the Maritim Hotel in Cologne
on 8th and 9th November. 300 participants from 14 countries came to
Cologne to inform themselves and to discuss the latest developments
in the field of wood-plastic. The event was attended by
representatives of various industrial sectors such as construction
industry, furniture industry, automobile manufacturers, engineering
industry, raw material and additives suppliers as well as wood and
plastic processors.
The event was accompanied by an exhibition, where 24 companies and
institutes demonstrated their competence in regard to production
lines (extruders), measuring and mixing devices, WPC granules and
products.
Schilling-Knobel and TechnoPartner Samtronic presented the pLine®
installation as well as a number of High Tech Wood Board samples on
the Messrs. Firma Pallmann Maschinenfabrik booth.
During a 20 minutes lecture Mr. Maué of EPS / TPS
introduced the pFix® technology and the production of
High Tech Wood Boards to the audience. The large number of
conference members made it easy to establish promising business
contacts.
The nova-Institute has started the conference in order to bring
focuses of interest and different industrial sectors together - and
they have succeeded. Thanks to the concept this conference could
successfully contrast with other events and new players could be
interested. It is intended to hold the WPC Conference regularly and
to develop the concept further.
