| Over K 2004's eight-day run, some
230,000 trade visitors, who had travelled from over 100 countries,
flocked to Duesseldorf. These visitors were notably in their marked
decision-making powers, broad international profile (significant
increases in visitors from overseas, including a particularly large
Asian contingent) and keen readiness to invest. PALLMANN and
SCHILLING-KNOBEL deeply impressed by the wealth of technological
developments showcased.
The pLine®
presentation to produce Wood-Plastic-Composites up to a width of 2,2
m and a thickness of maximum approx. 20 mm boards (pBoard®)
for a lot of visitors has been one of the innovative highlights of
the "K"-Show. PALLWOOD® granules produced
of wood flour and plastic material by PALLMANN’s PALLTRUDER®
is the basis for the manufacturing of a pBoard®.
The pScatt® machine precisely scatters the
PALLWOOD® onto the extended lower belt of the pFix®
(double belt press light). At the end of the pFix®
process a pBoard® with outstanding thickness
(density) profile and further physical properties is achieved.
Once more, “K” Düsseldorf has earned its stripes
as the event for innovations and good business.
The next "K" in Düsseldorf will be staged from 24 to
31 October 2007.
