Fibres from natural materials
especially wood flour, plastic shavings and chips, fibres or
powders as well as other additives are equally metered into the
Palltruder®. Frictional heat and high pressure
produced by a screw ending in a special pressure disc work the
plastic into the natural fibres. Rotating knives at the outside
diameter of a die cut the protruding material into free flowing
granules.
The mixing ratio, the type of plastic and the natural fibres as
well as their moisture content are decisive for the throughput
rate to be achieved by the system.

The pScatt®
machine precisely scatters the Wood Plastic Composites granules on
the extended bottom belt according to the requested dosing rate. The
bottom belt transports the granules into the pFix®.
In the heating zone the granules are for the first time in contact
with the top belt. The melting process starts. The melting process
is activated by heating platens mounted on the backside of the
belts. In certain sections nip rolls are installed to consolidate
and calibrate the Wood Plastic Composites granules. The following
cooling zone optimizes the product temperature for the next process
steps of the pBoard®.
